Why is it such an embarrassment. Two teams went at it and the offenses were clicking tonight. SK is the 3rd or 4th rated team in Ky depending on who you ask and highlands has shown in two other games they can put up points on the offensive side of the ball.

 

Im sure it was a great game for the fans to watch, but the lack of defense is nothing but embarrassing. Or should be.

No matter the differential in the score, giving up 77 points in football is the definition of embarrassing. One cannot put a positive spin on this. It defies logic to do so. Scoring 53 points should win a game. Thus, embarrassment to both teams.

HHS is giving up 47 PPG.

 

SK is scoring 49 PPG.

The birds need help on defense personnel wise. Murray is a nice running back but his aggressive nature as a running back would make a nice addition to the linebacker group! The two headed monster of him and Pulsfort at running back is wasting two good athletes only playing half of the offensive plays.

 

Agree! And maybe put the Angel boy over on D. Love his aggressiveness. Especially if he isn't getting the snaps on O. Just because you have 80+ kids on the roster does not mean you can platoon. Everyone knows that. Don't they?

Shearer trucked a Bird close to the GL. He's a big kid.

 

Yeah, he would be starting at Highlands if he stuck around. That is by no means a shot at Gosney because he is a good QB. I just think it would've probably allowed Gosney to move to the defense where I think he could be an excellent strong safety or linebacker.

Both teams should be ashamed of themselves. Running up the score on each other. I am happy with how high the score was. Both teams took something good and bad away. SK hadn't been really tested like that, late into the 4th yet this year but better teams are coming. HHS proved that their offense is damn good but their defense needs to really step up if they expect to make a deep run again this year. But they have played Cooper, Scott County and SK good enough to turn heads.

SK didn't blitz Gosney he can hurt you with his legs. SK will blitz Ryle like crazy.

You may be right, but Tanner Morgan can kill you with both his arms and legs. Ask Campbell Co? If SK consistently blitzes, Morgan and #21 (Chi......?) will produce some big numbers. SK's coaching staff will pick their spots.

IMO.....Concessions way down! Everyone afraid to leave stands. Real cost of hotdog and coke was missing 3 TDs.

Highlands defense is based on the bend but don't break principal. The Highlands defense has been broke for years but for some reason the coaching staff continues to do nothing about it. Maybe it's time for a different philosophy!!! This defense is past broke it's desentigrated. What a friggin joke!!!

Maybe. But does that mean the birds put up 80 on them? (Joke). Next week may be a better gauge of the rest of the season, Torres sounds like the majority of their offense. Dixie doesn't sound like they are as multi dimensional as SK or Scott Count or Cooper but I haven't seen them play yet
