Manual 14

Trinity 50

Petrino will throw for 400+. Phillips will also have a big game. Mellilo 100+ receiving yards.

Coach Nichols may want to contact Lee Corso and see if he still has the white towel that when he was coach at U of L, he threw on the field when the Cardinals were getting slaughtered by Memphis St.

Trinity will win easily but not that big.

Trinity 42 - 21.

After seeing a few of these contests, I think that Trinity has a few problems stopping Manual's offense, particularly running at the edges. Maybe that will be different this year, but I don't think it will be the stomping many have predicted. I think Trinity wins in a game that isn't close, but isn't psychologically scaring to Manual faithful.

The edges are not where we have a problem, actually the run is not a problem, our LB's are having problems in their drop zones, and Aygei's first game jitters should be gone...

Rocks - 42

Rams - 13

I hope the Rocks improve this week in practice and are able to win Friday. I'm sure two opposing players will have a little extra motivation for this game... Bo Eggers (former Rock) and Jordan Whiting (former Ram).

^ and... Rams Nathan Miller and David Ulinski were teammates of Rocks Kyle Flynn, Dane Spoelker and Ryan Hughes on their 8th grade Toy Bowl championship team.... They get to say "hello" again.

Both teams are still experimenting. However, Trinity has test tubes and bunsen burners while Manual has lightning bolts and Dr. Frankenstein: Trinity 34-16.

Hahaha, that was a pretty awesome analogy.

Are you sure Manual has lightning bolts and Dr. Frankenstein? I thought Manual only had one of those baking soda and vinegar volcanoes.

Lightning bolts and Dr. Frankenstein would make the Crimsons prohibitive favorites, IMHO.

But what are the odds of lightening hitting the monster compared to the bunson burner heating the beaker? It's less amazing, but the odds are still in it's favor.

Me and a Bell Co. boy were actually considering going to this one this weekend now that we are living Louisville.

Sorry to but into the thread, but we really want to see a great game. Will this be the best game we can see within an hour drive (our max travel) on Friday?

They might be favorites as long as they don't get carried away in playing the monster , if they generate a lot of electrifying plays, and if all their parts play as one.

I sure hope it will be a great game! But it's tough to say. Trinity has one game under their belts, a close loss, but still, it's Trinity. And Manual got a whooping in their first game, but got some experience and worked hard to open up at the end of the Eastern game. Trinity proved to be a first half team in their first game, and Manual proved to be a second half team in their last game. It should be very telling of where both teams are.
