If they lose to NMS I would can him immediately if I was the Athletic Director, but that's just what I would do. Hard to know what Barnhart would do should that situation arise. If I had to guess, he'd keep Stoops until the end of his contract.

He should have been fired already. Every game from here on out he gets to coach is just icing on the cake for him.

Firing a coach mid season is more harmful than that. Who maintains contact with the recruits? You can't let another bad season turn into 3 by loosing any decent recruits you might be after. If so you end up with a Joker situation.
