September 7, 201610 yr When my kids were still in car seats/stroller I'd take batteries from the local chain supermarket By hiding them under the kids blanket. I know I know, but kids go through batteries, especially swings and other toys

I know I know, but kids go through batteries, especially swings and other toys You risked being arrested for shoplifting over batteries?! For toys?!
September 7, 201610 yr Not to mention the possibility of child services taking your kids because you had them with you when you shoplifted.
September 7, 201610 yr Pretty terrible isnt it. But get off your holier than thou high horses. I think its terrible as well, which makes me laugh. I'm willing toget arrested over batteries. Crazy I know
September 7, 201610 yr You're being deceitful to gain admission to a HS sporting event. That's wrong no matter how you try and justify it. You are taking money from the schools' sports programs. Pay the $6, cheapskate. Yep. Those gate fees are pretty important to most organizations (whether it's a school or non-school team). Maybe some places push the bar a little and overcharge a buck or two, but I can't imagine trying to skirt gate fees for youth/high school sporting events. Six bucks? No wonder he's getting in on the sly. Hold on folks.....these ARE NOT high school games, these are travel ball games...River City, Expressway Park, Mid-America Park, etc. Maybe have pulled it off 3 times in the last two years, and tried it maybe 5 or 6 times. It all started as a dare/joke talking with the parents on my daughters team, and once it worked, it morphed into seeing what other parks it would work at.......trust me they get it back at the concession stand. Maybe I should have explained it better before everyone thinks I'm getting away with 100's of dollars in unpaid gate fees.

As I said, doesn't matter to me whether it's youth, travel ball or high school games. And really, they don't get the money back at the concession stand. That $3 you didn't pay, never gets paid, regardless of whether you buy food or not.

September 7, 201610 yr That's my cheap trick. I'm cheap enough to steal batteries. I'm don't agree with what I did but I did it.

September 7, 201610 yr Dude, you're honest. I can dig that. He's not honest. Honest people don't steal.
