I assume Charlie Strong's "core values" are making their way to Wildcat Country...

 

Maybe Notre Dame should have enacted this policy.

No issues with a coach asking for this. Hopefully he mentions it during the recruiting process so there are no surprises for the students/coach after they sign. Some coaches require study groups, some ban Twitter, just follow the rules of the coach and keep your scholarship.

I guess my question is what he is really saying is you cannot possess a hand gun, ie if it is back home with Mon and Dad, no problem, just don't bring it to Lexington.

Sure he can't legally, just like he can't legally ban his players from Twitter and other social media. As I said, I dare any college athlete to challenge his/her coach's rules and expect to keep a scholarship.

Seems like a non-issue, imo.
