"We're excited to have him back in the mix on both offense and special teams." Tate, 28, played at UNC - Chapel Hill before being drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2009 NFL draft.

The move happened prior to the Tuesday deadline for rosters to be cut down to 75 players.According to Bengals.com’ Geoff Hobson, Tate’s locker was cleared out and his nameplate removed on Tuesday morning. August 30, 201610 yr I know we all been wanting that change. I will say this though as a person and a player he did things the right way. Also as a returner he protected the ball. With that said it will be nice having a change there.
