It may be with a bigger school that little Johnny might not get as much playing time because of other kids who are a little better but it opens up the possibility of platooning more players, bringing in better players to start with, and increased competition among the players themselves just for spots. How many players are being recruited from Trinity this year and how many from Ludlow. No offense to Ludlow I'm sure their program is in great shaper but I needed a small school to make a point

 

Other than Herron (who's a sophomore) I don't think Trinity has any college prospects this year. I don't follow recruiting that closely, but I can't remember hearing about any other Trinity players getting offers.

Here's what I'd say. If you are going to create more schools to provide more opportunities to play, then why wouldn't we just have a ton of schools with enrollment of 300 kids? I understand what you're saying, but if that were the case, we'd have a bunch of very small schools.

 

Regardless the size or school, there's always a cut off and some kids aren't going to get to play either thru cuts or natural attrition (where the kid decides it's time to stop playing).

 

Schools aren't determined on how many spots they have for athletes. If that was the case, there would be no Scott county, Simon Kenton, McCraken Co, Male, Ryle etc.

Well, we've certainly gotten off track here. Let's focus on Campbell County and their rise from the ashes. Blame the officials. Blame the head coach of HHS. Blame the lack of talent for 2 consecutive years at the Fort. However, do not underestimate the team that Campbell has built. Do not underestimate their talent and do not underestimate their future. This year's team is an improvement from last year's edition. Next year, they are poised to contend for a district title. Yeah, i said it. The sophomore class is LOADED at CCHS and the current junior class is impressive. Let's give the men in purple their just due from their win last night. So many sophomores and juniors played in that game than many people realize. Couple that with the fact that CCHS has been decimated with injuries. They were missing several key players last night. Has anyone mentioned that? I'd say that's a damn fine showing for the Camels. The future is very bright in Alexandria. Let's stop focusing on why Highlands lost this game and start talking about how the Camels won this one.

Honestly I hope you are right and they continue to improve. It would be great to see the games stay exciting and competitive. Good luck camels and coach Lickert.

Define "total nose dive".

Getting beat by Cooper, Ryle and SK should show a decline in the birds program over the last year or so. Getting beat by the Camels should be a dose of reality. Not trying to put the Camels down but they have been the birds whipping boys for decades. This program is not even close to the elite level they used be. If you don't believe that you have blinders on. I honestly believe Dixie and Cov Cath will beat this team. It will be interesting to see if they can bounce back after 5 straight losses.
