I assumed we were talking about Miles Simpson, from SK... that wasn't 30 years ago, was it?

Miles coached linebackers last year.

Coach Simpson has done a lot for many young men in that program and should be given credit for helping erase some "old" thought processes at that school. You are smarter than me so read between the lines. Additionally, I am sure he did not leave since they are down this year as they have only been up once or twice in the previous 5 decades.

They must have one heck of a RB coach.:lol2:

Do you know if something was brewing for awhile between the two coaches? Either way, handle your business like a man and do what your boss tells you needs to be done. Woolley is the head coach and has the final say what happens with his program. I don't know what the exact circumstance was, but I would think that you have to suck it up and finish what you started for the kids. Simpson might have known Scott was gonna struggle and was looking for a way out. I don't know that as a fact, but since we are talking circumstantial information, there is mine

No,, I have no idea if anything was happening between the two Coaches. I have never met either coach. Just from the outside looking in, its just hard to see a coach quitting over one incident. Football is a game of passion and sometimes passions can run high on the sideline,, but for a coach to quit after one thing to happen seems a bit much to me. I just hope the program rebounds from this situation and they do not let it derail the rest of the season.

Dan Woolley will find a way to right the ship. Casey Fisk coming back to Scott last season turned out to be a blessing. I'm sure the kids will play as hard as normal and continue working to win games. They're awfully young, but at some point it'll click.

Casey has more character than most people dream of IMO.

So no comments at all on what problem Coach Simpson had that convinced him to up and leave after the first game of the season? Northern KY is a small place. This seems like a curiously large number of sealed lips.

Defense. I Agree AreLinz except what kind of message does this send to the boys? Arguement was petty from what I hear. Sit, talk it out and move on like men then if at season end still unhappy move on.

I think too much is put into the "what message does it send to the boys". It's all good. The boys will be fine. It is better to cut free now then drag it in the entire season where the boys have to sit and watch coaches argue every practice.

My boy is in his 2nd OC in 3 years. He said his freshman year in college the OC and HC who was also the DC argued everyday in practice but stayed on the staff until after the last game of the season. It affected the team big time. It's better to end it now than wait.
