Your not allowed to play with a concussion. If he played the whole staff should be fired.

Should both teams be concerned about the points they gave up to first-year starting QBs?

I remember reading "somewhere" that "someone" thought the days of highlands hanging 50 on a class 6 A team were over.

Very entertaining game tonight. Both Murray and Pulsfort looked significantly improved to me compared to last year. Gosney did a good job leading the team and made the big plays when he had to. I need to get with my man Ham and get the stats. HHS had to have over 500 yards rushing, didn't they? Time will tell if both teams have strong offenses or if both teams just have bad defenses...or both...

It was also good to see the HHS kicker FINALLY make some extra points after missing his first three wide right...that was painful to watch...glad it did not cost them the game.

Finally, I think HHS was definitely the better conditioned team tonight. Cooper's D just looked gassed in the second half.

Short answer...YES...

Neither defense really stopped the other offense at all...

How tall is Hendrix?

About 6'2 would be my guess.

Just a sophomore, very nervous.

The staff didn't know he had a concussion until he puked. When they found out they took his helmet.

That is what I told my wife. He was probably wetting himself early on - first varsity game and a very nice crowd. He looked much better after he made the first one. Good for him to get the first one out of the way and I am glad the missed EP's did not cost the team the game...he would have felt horrible if that happened.

The difference in this game was depth. Almost every player played both ways for Cooper. I know the 2 big lineman for Cooper #51 and #53 played every snap. Both good players that didn't have much left at the end.

Agree, Nick Bowman came around late in the game. He has a huge foot. He is a great football player. He took several snaps at LB tonight as a sophomore as well which is not very common.

Was it depth? Or was it the off season conditioning program? Cooper looked like they have been sitting on their couches for the past 6 months...

No it was depth. Last years team was able to sub and not miss a beat.

It wasn't conditioning it was platooning that Highlands has been doing for years. You have fresh legs when you only play one way. I was very surprised that a 6A school would have so many playing both ways.

I think it was both as Cooper was bent over early in 2nd quarter and it only got worse.
