Great game by the Indians! This defense is going to be very good this year. Holmes had 30 rushing attempts for 6 yards.

Defense is usually a day behind. Game is too fast to do tackles live. No commercials either! We watch film and update the box score with tackles later (by Sunday).

2A district play in NKY will be very exciting this year, three very good teams. I plan on being at most of those games.

I watched the first half of this game. Holmes is a mess on offense. It is hard to judge the Holy Cross defense at all due to the confusion Holmes showed on almost every play on offense.

 

Holy Cross had trouble getting out of their own way. They kept making mistakes which allowed Holmes to hang close. One punt return TD was called back due to a penalty. Penalties and turnovers stopped a couple other drives. I believe it was a 14-7 game with about 3 minutes to go in the half. Then Holmes made a couple turnovers that gave Holy Cross a very short field and Holy Cross finally cashed in.

 

From the half I saw, I believe Holy Cross has a way to go before they are ready to beat Lloyd or New Cath. They have the talent. Can they put it together on the field?

HC played mistake filled 1st half and still scored 28. You are correct, we do have a ways to go. The question is does anyone on our schedule have the horses to stop us. BTW the defense is that good.

the first quarter holy cross kept shooting themselves in the foot. But then again it is the first game of the season. Holy cross defense looked great the whole game except for one break down where Holmes had a long pass gain. Which set up the only touchdown in the 3q. Holmes struggled and didn't look that well but holy cross still came to play! Holy cross depth this year is really good!
