Love a good civilized debate.

Tell us a little about CAL, I know they haven't said qb, what other players are to be watched?

I think SK will win comfortably. Let's say 35-17.

They should, if not it will be a long season for SK.

Step one on the championship trail. Go Pioneers!

Definitely, a district championship is most assuredly possible.

QB is only a sophomore, but is a big kid with a big arm. He put up nice numbers as a Freshman. TE/DE Paulson is a beast. 6'4" or 6'5" and solid. Div I prospect. He may have already signed but I can't remember. To me, their best player is Milton Wright. 6'2" 185 (approx), lightning fast. WR and DB. He had a 100-yd INT return for a TD, a TD catch, AND a kickoff return TD against DeSales last year (the KO return was called back but it was still electric). Those guys are surrounded by solid players and they run a pro-style offense. Size up front and depth would be the two big concerns against a team like SK.

You mean DeSales

No, I mean you guys. If they beat SK, they are the favorite out of their Region. SK was good last year and has a lot coming back this year.

Should be a easy win for SK. Look for the 2nd string qb and the rest of the 2nd string to get alot of playing time like they did against X last week.

Paulson who is 6'5 245 has close to 10 offers. SK has more depth than most teams and their OL and DL are very big.

CAL should have a big crowd for this one. I hear SK travels well also. A win here puts CAL even more on the map. A loss for SK removes them completly from any 6A championship talk

Why would Mayfield be concerned with CAL? First , I hope CAL beats SK but with that being said, CAL has never won a regional , SO until they can prove they win more than two playoff games....

What I am saying is that I hold SK at a high level. If CAL can beat them, they can beat anyone in 2A. I would see them as the favorite to get out of their region. I see De Sales being a year away.

What impressed me with Simon Kenton against St. Xavier was how the 2nd string played against X. The 2nd string looked just as good as Simon Kenton's 1st string. Basketball player Timmy Cottrell is playing wide reciever and scored against X. Sophomore running back Jon Sergent ran the ball really good. It should be a fun year in Independence.

Let's put all the cards on the table. SK has had success in the regular season playing teams in lower classifications. They have recently started playing a couple of 6A teams but no one that would be considered a power team. I'm a fan of CAL. Stephan LeFlors has built a program that can challenge for the 2A title. That said a strong 6A school should beat CAL by 2 or 3 scores minimum. I say CAL keeps it close but SK will leave Louisville with a narrow win and the chest pounding will begin.

I will be watching CAL's D-Line and see how they do vs SK's O-line. Like what CAL has back on that line and if they can control the line of scrimmage that should keep it at least close. As for CAL's passing game they lost two very good receivers so I want to see who besides Paulson is catching the rock. Will Milton Wright be a receiver or RB? SK should win but a lot of unknowns about CAL will be answered with this game to me.
