What are you talking about??? I agree with most of what you said in your previous post. But I think you are taking my post incorrectly.

 

And I would be very surprised if EVERY one of the "top and second" 12 have offers. And I would be surprised if they were better than the offers that some below them already have committed to!

 

I don't care if families have announced their offers or not. That's their business. And I don't care what offers they have. I'm sure they are good. I'm saying there are some names that aren't mentioned that should be if we are considering others on this list. And I'm saying there are definitely kids listed lower that are better college prospects than kids in front of them...regardless of who has offers and who doesn't! I haven't said one name that is on the list that I felt shouldn't be on the list, so you actually have no idea who or what I'm talking about.

 

And yes, I know a lot a kids from across the state from coaching AAU for 8 years, leading an AAU Org for the same amount of time and having two girls that played competitive AAU...one that still does.

Simple RCC9 they have not been to his camp, if you notice some programs have 5-6 kids on there because some coaches send groups so they can play together. I would not worry about the list, play with a good AAU team, you will land somewhere. Hard to see every kid out there. We have some good young players in the 8th that are not on there and better than some that are that is just how it works

 

I don't worry about the list. I just like the discussion. I still have a daughter involved that plays with KY Premier. She is grounded in her expectations. She's not going D1 and knows that right now. But she can still play and someone will look at her.

 

I just see kids on the list and think how is "so and so" on the list when several others that have consistently been better than them over the years and there's no mention. AAU included. And when these lists come out and they are not on the list, they deserve just as much recognition as the kids on the list.

 

Apparently some take offense to others (not on the list) getting a little ink!

So only the kids on this list are working hard??? Kids at the top of the list are working harder than the ones that are lower??? The only thing I did was point out that there are kids not on this list that are just as good as the kids on this list. And there are kids lower on the list that I would consider a higher prospect than others that are higher than them. I never claimed to know every one of them (although I do know several of them). But the ones I do know for sure, I can make judgement on. And there are several on there that I know! I would never make a judgement on a kid I've never seen play. Good or bad.

Aly Johnson - already committed to Bucknell (D1) I would assume that would qualify as "College Potential". She in the "second 25"??? This is especially puzzling with another name that lands in front of her in the "second 12"

 

Forgot to address this. Just for clarification every player in the second 12 has received a college offer and some more than one. If you have not noticed they are mostly seniors. But again, when the player and her family decides to tell the world where their kid is committing, then it will be up for discussion.

 

Well as you said, I know NKY and I can tell you that Aly Johnson is the best senior in the region this coming year. And I would say Jenna Martin is a close second. So that should help you understand what I'm saying.

Way too many kids left off and some have no reason being in these lists. Some girls haven't even played for two years and are on the lists.

So I'm not catching your drift. This is about the list and the list only, throwing names around over and over and over doesn't make a player the best player in the region or the state. You may want everyone that knows nothing about Northern Kentucky to believe that but I'm sorry, these are not the best players in your region and I will not go into why. Northern Kentucky has players that you may think are really really really good. But college coaches care about skill, athleticism and heart, period. That is what the list is really about.

Who is the best players on the team? I'd like to hear your version. Cause I've already heard one. Who all played basketball in college or coached at collegiate level? At this point, I'm ready to hear from the actual experts on the talent. If you did not play college ball or never will, or have never coached at collegiate level, please explain to all the viewers how some of you reach opinion of who the best is and what colleges coaches look at. Cause I can tell you right now colleges can pick up a kid for exceptional defense alone.

 

Anyone can score bunches if they are relied on to do so. But we're talking about college potential, which includes more than just shooting 3's and name dropping. If I tell you everyday that cheesecake is good, you're gonna want cheesecake. Right.

I'm not a believer that the Bolus rankings are 100% correct either. But as I've mentioned before let's try to have real examples of why Bolus is so off and who is missing. Like the above poster ^^^^^ if your so confident a Bolus ranked player isn't even best on their own team then share who this great player is and where they should be ranked. Like the above poster mentioned, at least Bolus has done a lot of research, so the list is there for discussion purposes. Not hurt feelings of parents that feel slighted and want to leave curt, bitter comments.

She's listed in the best of the rest category but I think she could be in the top 15 However, I am quite a bit biased, I admit.

Her name is Maci Gibson and she plays for Owsley County in the 14th region. She's a 6 foot junior center. She's going to make some lucky college a very good player.
