August 4, 201610 yr Only if the seller is a Federal Firearms License holder. You can buy from individuals who are not licensed without a check. I do wish there was a way for John Q. Public to be able to verify the person you are selling a gun to privately can legally own it.

I have stated all along that this should've been the exact legislation that the current administration could have introduced. If Hillary is elected my guess is she will push for required background checks on any and all gun sales. This will be negotiated to checks at gun shows only.

In this case why in world would we want to wait until the guns are severely limited and try to fight to regain the same rights we have today ? That approach just seems short sighted as heck . Who would have thought 5-10 years ago we would be arguing about transgenders disrupting where men and women go to the potty ? Its the " this could never happen " that allows lunacy to thrive .

I also keep a record of who I sell a gun to...even if it is back to a dealer. I want to know where my guns went if the ATF ever comes knocking.

It's not a gun show loophole it's a private sales loophole.

Killing someone would have to be a horrible thing to have to live with, I would think anybody with an ounce of decency would have second thoughts.
August 4, 201610 yr I mean I hope you're right and the second amendment is never done away with. However, it seems pretty silly to sit back and just automatically assume that it never will. Folks need to understand that laws, rules, warranties, and Constitutions are only as good as the people standing behind them.

Countless times people haves used the line, "from my cold dead hands"....Does that imply they're going to fight until either they (or whomever is coming to do the taking) are dead?
