Yup, it is naming them national champions when they weren't considered national champs. They finished 7th in the major polls. Even if the polls were taken after the bowls they most likely would not have won. Tennessee was ranked 3 spots ahead of UK in the final polls, won their bowl game and beat UK head to head. No one named them national champs until Jeff Sagarin's ratings in the 90s. This is the same thing everyone gave UL heck for a few years back when they claimed 2 additional basketball titles. Even worse is making a fake trophy and displaying it like they won it.

You said that 3 "major" polls named them National Champions. I'm still waiting for you to name them. If they were "major" polls it should be pretty easy to find it.

 

Even with the win they were ranked 7th going in. They weren't jumping the other 6 teams--especially UT who beat them in the last regular season game and was ranked 3 spots ahead of them.

No no no no no no!!! UK fans are the most vocal and critical and outspoken bunch about any misstep that any other program makes. This is a total joke and they're going to get lambasted for it, and it's 100% justified to do so.
