Mars will never be as feasible for humans visiting as the moon. Yeah it's cool to think about, but if we were really going to utilize our abilities outside of our own atmosphere, the moon would be much more logical, IMO.

I get where you're coming from, I just don't believe we have a whole lot to learn from the moon at this point. Mars has an atmosphere, a mineral-rich surface, polar ice caps, etc. Anything we can learn from spending time on the moon can be learned on Mars along with many, many other things we just can't do with lunar missions.
July 20, 201610 yr If you have several hours to kill and are as fascinated by the Apollo program as I am, check out the old HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon." I can't recommend it enough.
