July 20, 201610 yr Besides Latinos and African-Americans and women not voting for Trump, can you give me your opinion on why college students swing so far to the left. I know at least a dozen people that came from conservative areas(counties) and family that have went away to college(UK,UC, Morehead,Eastern, etc.) and turned strongly liberal and to this day(they are in their 50's now) are strong left. Is the reason being that all Professors are left or something else? Interested in your view. I wouldn't give professors too much credit/blame. I think it's a function of age/idealism/impacting the world that is somewhat different from the person who is the same age that is out there humping it daily to make a buck. I bet that if you followed such groups for 20 to 30 years they get more conservative (note: I said that as a relative measure not as an absolute). These kids , like many of us at that age, thought we knew how the world should be as compared to our "old parents." We could make it better so we probably went a different path than what our parents saw as THE path. I think that's a good thing, though. It's good to try a different viewpoint to see if it's right and if it can have an impact. Heck, you can always slide over to what the masses are thinking/doing.

July 21, 201610 yr George Bush is worried he may be the last Republican POTUS. Inside the GOP’s Shadow Convention - POLITICO Magazine I don't ever see there being another Republican POTUS. Hilary will be locked in for 8 years and then just another imitation of her and Obama will follow.
July 21, 201610 yr I don't ever see there being another Republican POTUS. Hilary will be locked in for 8 years and then just another imitation of her and Obama will follow. As much as Trump damaged the Republican Party, McConnell may go down as the ultimate trigger man for Republican suicide. I clicked on a post from Fox News someone had posted on here. At the bottom there were favorability ratings: Congress was 14%. That is abysmal.
July 23, 201610 yr All of the numbers point to HRC winning. Too many blocks of voters that are not going to support Trump. HRC's biggest challenge IMO will be to ensure that everyone who plans on voting for her actually does. Low turnout will greatly reduce her chances . I was listening to someone being interviewed on 700 this week from the R party. Even he said that HRC's "machine" is very impressive as compared to the R version.

There was someone speaking on WLW this morning that said we will have 8 years of Hilary, followed by another 8 with Chelsea as POTUS.. As funny and sad as that sounds, I think it may actually happen

It's all voodoo at this point. Who knows how it will shake out :lol2:

They currently have Trump with a better than 50/50 chance of winning Nevada, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Florida, yet still losing the election 276-261.
July 25, 201610 yr It will be interesting to see these numbers a week from now. There's usually a small bump after each national convention.

July 25, 201610 yr Trump has made some nice moves since convention. I have no idea how after his speech. That is disregarding all the other gaffes during the convention.
