July 17, 201610 yr Hellcats I have been playing ball in Kentucky and Tennessee but there have been teams from all 50 states here with me. Those are the people that I talk to. No doubt Trump will win KY and TN. Its the other states I am interested. None of what I was talking about was people from this area. When you really get to talking with people you would be surprised what they are saying. We see the coverage of the protests( mostly paid ) at the Trump rallies and such and think Wow no way he can win. We see the polls like you posted and alot thinks Wow he cant win. What not taken to account is the most Americans are fed up with business as usual and will vote that out. I never said she would be in jail, I said she needs to be. OH, FL, VA, NC...gotta win them all.
July 17, 201610 yr NBC/WSJ poll tidbits: HRC leads by two points with voters who attended "some" college, by 6 points with college grads, and 21% with those with advanced degrees. Trump leads by 3% with those with high school degree or less. By geography: NE - HRC by 11 Midwest - HRC by 5 West - HRC by 16 South - Trump by 7 Swing states (13 of them) HRC 48 to 40 Latinos: HRC 76-14 (Note: President Obama won Latinos by 44 points over Romney in 2012) Whites: Trump leads by 13. Romney won whites by 20.
July 17, 201610 yr Hillary Clinton Leads Donald Trump in New National Poll I think this article references the poll Clyde posted above.
July 17, 201610 yr OH, FL, VA, NC...gotta win them all. Can drop either VA or NC if he maintains his lead in PA, and still win. National Polls mean little in this election, it will come down to those states you said and a couple of others.

National Polls mean little in this election, it will come down to those states you said and a couple of others. Recent WSJ poll has Hillary up 9 and Qunnipac has Trump up 2 in Penn. 538 has HRC's chance of winning Penn at 65%.
July 17, 201610 yr Sadly I think Hilary wins this going away. Just don't see how Trump comes close with virtually no African-American, Latino or Millenialls(college students) votes. Is there even a chance that there is no Republican Party in 4 years? There are many that say the better election this year would have been Clinton versus Sanders

It may have been close, but that doesn't mean it would have been better.
July 17, 201610 yr Better for who? It may have been close, but that doesn't mean it would have been better. By better, I meant closer. Got to choose my words better, there I go again.
July 18, 201610 yr The HRC/email issue is now resonating more. A recent poll showed that the % of people interested or somewhat interested in the email issue rose from 49 to 55% from only a few months ago. 538 has seen a corresponding decrease in her odds of winning. It was about 77% last month and I think the latest today had it at 64%.
July 19, 201610 yr Trump will win in the states that don't matter and HRC will pull out all stops in the ones that do to win NY, CA, OH, FL and PA. Just a matter of time. I think Trump missed an opportunity this week with the shootings to be more vocal in support of law and order.

July 20, 201610 yr Analysts say for a Republican to win they will need in the low 40% range of Latinos. Trump is the least popular Republican candidate maybe ever among Latinos. I saw a poll today of Latino Republicans/Independents and 60% said they would not vote for Trump. One poll showed that 77% of Latinos think the R party is openly hostile or indifferent to them. 53% said they would never consider voting for a Republican. No Latinos faces in the crowd at the convention. Has the party given up on the Latino vote? Can they win a national election without the Latino vote? If they can't beat a limping candidate like HRC who can they beat?

Besides Latinos and African-Americans and women not voting for Trump, can you give me your opinion on why college students swing so far to the left. I know at least a dozen people that came from conservative areas(counties) and family that have went away to college(UK,UC, Morehead,Eastern, etc.) and turned strongly liberal and to this day(they are in their 50's now) are strong left. Is the reason being that all Professors are left or something else? Interested in your view.
