Its not been the same for years and kids are learning that high school just dont help them and just a chance for them to get injured for nothing. I dont like it. I hate it but its what the kids tell me. Anybody watch Goodin this year. He coasted the whole year till the end. Ask him why. They would rather have that time to train and rest and then go play in front of 250 coaches at one event. Kids attitudes towards high school is changing and gonna keep changing. I never said it will be a huge impact. There will always be high school basketball but I see it soon without the states top 5-6 players.

Two games into the season and Zion and the Purples look very good. Averaging 98 points per with Harmon averaging 21. Again, only 2 games in but looking solid.

 

Harmon is really good. Confident jumper (crazy high % from 3), as good of handles as you will ever see for an 8th grader and has done well getting others involved.

 

Should have a great year with a spectaclar team. Fun to watch!

Those first two games were without the football players. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole team play this weekend. It's a great time to be a Purple!

I hope he has good guidance from his family and Coaches. A lot to handle for a kid so young. Don't read this forum or the ratings young man. Keep working hard on and off the court and be humble a D thankful that you are blessed with such talent.

It may not mean a lot to many people but on his Twitter account is Bible verses. I saw no vulgar words or crazy posting of wild videos. Refreshing to see a young man that seems to have his head on straight. Hoping that is an accurate assessment and that his attitude continues on in this journey.

I usually don't get very excited about an eighth grade athlete, but something tells me this kid is special.
