When Trump does show some restraint (read from his teleprompter), audience response is more muted. His fans want something out of the WWE playbook, not a study in presidential self-control. I understand Hillary's negatives, but unfortunately for the GOP, Donald Trump is simply the worst presidential nominee in U.S. history -- assuming he isn't dethroned in Cleveland.

Correct, everyone from the Democratic Party will continue to tow the line regardless, or face the purgatory. What did I say months ago, there is nothing she can do for the party to condemn her.

Hillary is just an easy person to dislike and distrust, even among her supporters. Trump may pose a national security threat, but unlike Clinton it's not to the U.S.

I have 3 thoughts on this:

#1)No surprise about this outcome, did anyone really think she would face any consequences?

If sending and receiving emails through Hillary's server was criminal, how many state department employees should be indicted? The vast majority of the emails were sent by people other than Hillary

 

To your first question: of course! "If those actions are criminal" dictates that those doing the criminal actions be charged. They are defined by you as criminal.

 

Those sending emails to Hillary were sending them to the correct person, so they did nothing wrong. The person receiving the emails is the one who was in the wrong. She set up her account/servers inappropriately. If she were still SOS, she should at least be fired. Had this been an Under Secretary he/she would have been fired and possibly indicted.

I can envision horrific scenarios where either would-be POTUS' incompetence and carelessness would get us involved in a terribly expensive embroglio in terms of lives lost and holes in the budget that would be extremely difficult to get out of anytime soon. I could also, in both cases, see that carelessness and incompetence doubled-down upon, in the interest of decisive, authoritative action, making it exponentially worse in the process.
