What happens if the Republican Party as a whole says they don't want Trump as the nominee? Is it too late for them to bail on him? Is he the stone cold lock nominee or can they refuse to let him be the nominee?

 

Just curious. I was wondering if they have any options right now as they seem to be in the beginning stages of distancing themselves from Trump.

Trump will sue the RNC. A judge of Canadian descent will hear the case and throw it out, and Trump will vow to build a wall to keep Canadians out. He says they'll pay for it, but Trudeau calls him out in both American and Canadian media outlets for having hair that is a crime against humanity. Trump goes ballistic on Twitter and the next thing you know, Trump Inc is flying Trump Air charters to Mexico to pick up illegal workers to build the Canadian wall for cash payments, as Trump brags about self-funding the Canadian wall and takes credit for saving America from a HUUGGE influx of snotty Canadians intent on enrolling in AHCA.

Romney becomes the guy.

I'm actually starting to watch more news channels to follow along more closely now. I feel a trainwreck or two coming our way. I want to watch.

If there was a consensus of someone waiting in the wings I think you could see some movement that way...but there isn't anyone that Republicans are overwhelmed with. If any move is made to oust Trump all he has to do is stay in the race, which will in turn give the election to whomever the DNC ends up running (Looking at you Joe Biden).

On the Democratic side, what would Clinton do if Sanders pulled a slight of hand at their convention and took the nomination from her? Trump is in and so is Clinton, unless the super delegates switch in large numbers.

There's no telling what she would do but it would be must see TV for sure. :lol2:

If we end up with Trump vs Sanders, Sanders will probably win big......God help us all.

Ted Cruz is the only other candidate that was a poorer choice than Trump. Cruz might have lost by even a larger margin than Big Daddy Don will. Also, Batty Ben Carson would have been fun to watch. He would have said a couple really nutty things daily. That would have been fun.

I would take Carson in a heartbeat over Trump or Clinton.

 

He may say some batty things, but he is a step up from Trump(Mr. say whatever comes out without thinking or caring) or Clinton(who calculates everything she says for maximum personal gain and power).
