This is why we have the trophy kid generation. Celebrating mediocre times and players, like UK is actually going to be interested in him.

Nah. Not even close. A kid did good at the camp and got some recognition for it. It's not like anyone said he was offered on the spot or will be. He had a good day. Let him enjoy the moment.

14 running backs ran 4.6 or slower at the 2014 combine. I'll take it and it sounds like Stoops and crew were impressed with it.

They should have given them a participation trophy and sent them home. What was the NFL thinking?

Jeremy Hill ran a 4.66 at the combine.

4.6 is very fast laser time. There is maybe a hand full of athletes in the whole state that can run in the 4.6 range. Quentin baker ran 4.65 and a 10.79 100. Laser time. I dont know who this kid is but hats off to you and keep working hard.

Great time for the kid!! With that size may end up being a DB in college.

Some of you guys need to live in the real world. 4.6 laser is pretty darn fast. Very few true 4.4 or even 4.5 guys in HS football. Most don't even know how to run the 40 for optimum time anyway at the HS level. It's not madden.

Congratulations to the kid on being faster then all the Fullbacks in this years NFL Combine...who also weigh 80lbs heavier then him. I wouldn't even put him as the fastest kid in Mercer Co, that may go to Tanner Robbins.

Glenn Gronkowski 6'2 239 Fullback

Andy Janovich 6'1 238 Fullback

Soma Vainuku 5'11 246 Fullback

Peyton Barber 5'10 228 Power Back

They also have 4-5 more years of physical maturing, training and conditioning on him, very impressive.

Also remember Bryant Koback(UK Commit) 5'11 190 ran a 4.38 their last year. Laser timed. Zy'aire Hughes was timed at 4.42(laser timed) , Kash Daniel at 6'2 230 runs a 4.6. Again D Smith ran a mediocre time, nothing to celebrate. Wasn't even a player of notice in all the recruiting analysts camp reports. Good high school player, absolutely. But for his coach to call him a FBS level recruit...please.

I don't like to say the word hating, but that's what you're doing.

4.6 laser timed is legit fast for a high school kid. What would be a good time for you?

You're an adult trying to diminish a kids accomplishment.

Yeah these guys trained in a college weight room setting for 4-5 years, then they specifically trained for the NFL combine. Johnny Manziel ran a 5 something 40 out of college before he specifically started to train his 40. He ran a 4.68 at the combine. Plus they're 4-5 years older.

I highly doubt their head coach has trained these guys in the 40 the way that the athletes at the NFL combine have.

Not hating, telling the truth. The only reason I brought the NFL aspect up was because posters were saying he was faster then NFL Combine RB's. I then gave examples of high school kids, running the same 40's, at the same camp, with the same laser timing. 4.6 is not FBS or FCS fast at 5'6 150-160. I'm just confused why we celebrate a mediocre time.

Nobody brought up fbs but you buddy.

His time is not mediocre. Not many HS players run it, but there's no getting through to you.

Bro let it go now. Guru was just giving a shout out to a young man who ran a nice high school 40 time - nothing more, nothing less. It is nice to see a young man digging and working!

I am proud of this young Titan -keep chopping!
