So did the KHSAA throw the dart toward the approved/denied dart board and unfortunately for this young lady it hit the wrong slot? With all the transfers that are approved, it is a little shocking when one is denied!!!

This was a little different than other transfers. Three schools in Three Years, Zero bona fide change of address. I would say it had a lot to do with any unfavorable ruling.

Check the Louisville area and three schools in a high school resume is not that out there----I am talking about more than girls and more than basketball----i am talking about transfers in general.

If Martin can't play I feel sorry for her, with all the transfers and half of AAU teams going to HC and nothing is done that's just not right.

Not that it matters a whole lot but this is not a "3 schools in 3 years" scenario. She did stay at Notre Dame for two years. This is a "3rd school in her 4th year" scenario

This exact same scenario played out in our district last year. Janiya Davis, now at Hopkinsville, was ruled ineligible but the ruling was overturned in January. She played for Christian County as an 8th grader and freshman, University Heights as a sophomore and Hopkinsville as a junior. No change of address in any of those transfers. What I was told is that they threatened with an attorney and all was overturned. I don't like this and thought Davis should have been ineligible last year after going to 3 schools in 3 years with no change of address. But if she is going to be allowed to do it then so should this girl. Enforce or do not enforce your laws equally KHSAA. We might as well not have a governing body!

Sounds like all you have to do is threaten a lawsuit. There are so many transfers, both boys and girls, and KHSAA seems to be very one sided in their prosecutions. There have been local players switching and no change of address at all, and they drive from another county. And the lawsuit was threatened so after ruling the player ineligible, he walks out on the floor on October 15th and plays with his new team all season. KHSAA did nothing. Either enforce it or forget it, what a joke.

With basketball practices starting up does anyone know whether the KHSAA has made a ruling on this yet? It's a shame that they act a whole lot like the NCAA in their approach to things. The athlete is usually the one that ends up getting hurt.
