May 29, 201610 yr Jordan was suspended when he retired. We all know that. The envelope at the draft lottery was frozen. That can be assumed. What are some of your favorite conspiracy theories surrounding the league? A couple I'm working on include: It was predetermined Golden State and Cleveland would be playing in June just to infuriate KD and get him over the bump. The Clippers' injuries made Blake to Philly realistic. Magic Johnson doesn't have AIDS.

May 30, 201610 yr The refs try to extend the series by being partial. If I were in the NBA's finance department, I'd hope to God for a game seven every series.
May 30, 201610 yr The NBA wanted LeBron to lose in the finals last year so they intentionally injured Kyrie and Kevin Love and left LeBron scraps on his team so when he comes back and destroys them this year (that's why the officiating has been partial to help GSW). They had to injure those two because LeBron is so powerful and amazing that he can defeat terrible officiating. He still took the series to 6 games with that scrap starting lineup.... Okay maybe that just makes me feel better.... BUT....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ31539Cg04
May 30, 201610 yr Author Patrick Ewing to the Knicks? That what I was referencing with the frozen envelope. I'm already sold on that one.

Those 8 seeds aren't must watch television for anyone. Seven either usually. I do think the refs know going in to games how close it should be. Or at least have a gameplan to shorten or lengthen the game depending on how close it is.

This OKC series has so far collected about 40 million from tickets. Probably even more. A team like OKC gathers around 90 million from tickets an entire regular season.

May 31, 201610 yr The Jordan gambling stuff is basically fact at this point. Allegedly... He would be the Pete Rose of the NBA if it wasn't for Stern.
May 31, 201610 yr Author Well apparently the theory of the Heat vs Cavs was suppose to happen and that didnt. That was one I wanted to be true for selfish reasons. I know LeBron v. Wade would be a huge draw, but there's no future in that rivalry unless Winslow develops a trustworthy offensive game, whereas the North could be perennial contenders if DeRozan decides he likes winning.

I think the NBA protects it's players from a lot of things. It's weird to me that the NBA is the one sport you rarely hear steroid talk with. Which makes sense especially if it's a star player, you don't want to pin steroid talk on them. So I really do think there is a lot of stuff with the NBA we never hear about.

If they didnt there would not be enough players to have a league to play.
