My hot take, the pro bowl is stupid and people should stop playing in it.

I had no idea that Eifert even sustained an ankle injury in the Pro Bowl, much less an injury that'll keep him out for an extended period of time.

 

Let's hope he fully recovers.

Well, of course he got injured in the PB. And of course it's going to keep him out an extended period of time. The guy's made of glass, after all.

As far as the surgery, I find it irresponsible to wait this long. Guy is good but he's worthless while in the training room. Hopefully he's good and ready for week 1. Bengals need his experience from day one with a new WR Corp.

This is one of the more ridiculous stories I have heard of. Forget blaming the Pro Bowl. There's not an excuse I can think of for a multi-million dollar company(Bengals) to not have been on top of his ankle way more than they were. How can your second best receiver and best tight end injure his ankle in January and just now be getting surgery? Is this real? And people want to blame the Pro Bowl? Screw that. Blame the person who was at the March checkup on Tyler that said "come back in a month and we'll see where you are at." He should have had surgery in February and if the Bengals knew what they were doing he would have had it in February. Forget the Pro Bowl, Bengals fans should be picketing at the stadium as we speak. This is inexcusable.
