May 26, 201610 yr We actually owned Steel Magnolias on VHS. It was one of our favorite movies. However, Mrs. S's younger sister, who also had type 1 childhood diabetes, died in almost the same exact circumstances, including leaving a 1 year old son behind. That was 22 years ago. We haven't watched it once since. I understand that...so sorry to hear about Mrs. S's sister, that is so sad.
May 26, 201610 yr Reading the Part in Harry Potter where he was supposed to be sacrificed was really emotional for me as well. I was definitely crying.
May 27, 201610 yr Jane in Breaking Bad. As much as Walt became a worse and worse person each episode, it wasn't too hard to perform some mental gymnastics to somehow rationalize his actions and root for him as a character. The way he watched her die then lied to Jessie was ice cold, not to mention the way we watched her death effect her father. Crazy because she wasn't even a very likable character. A close second from the same series is when Jessie's later girlfriend was murdered and he had to watch. His facial expression was an incredible performance.
