Wow, got this off of the KHSAA scoreboard, after the way Nelson looked last year, I am shocked that they won, but anyway, congrats to Nelson Co., and good luck in the future.

I will say, this is a shocker. Awesome shocker. Good things come to those who work hard. Well done Coach Bruner.

VERY impressed by the attitude of not only the coaches and players but also the fans. Cardinal Stadium was rockin tonight and it appears football is back at Nelson County High School

Wow huge shocker.

BE laid an egg tonight. BE had more yards of offense and more return yardage, giving BE a decent advantage in total yards, but BE commited 14 penalties and had 3 turnovers. Nelson also had 3 turnovers, but only had 4 penalties. That was the difference in the game.

The most insignificant thing in football is yards. The only this that matters is points.

Good win for Nelson County can't take any thing away from them. The difference in this game though was penalties. Two running teams and 1 get 7 holding calls the other get 1.

 

BE's young offensive line looked it last night. They will get better. Great job to the coaches of Nelson.

Nelson Co. and BE played each other very well the other night. Yes BE had more penalities, but 3 or 4 of the so called 14 they had were unsportman like conduct calls. BE had more then enough chanes at the end of the game to come back and steal the game but couldn't answer the call. There was a very questionable call when Nelson Co. Senior Safety Tyler Smith intercepted the ball ran two yards and was tackled and fumbled the ball but Nelson recovered. The interception was called incompelete and on the following BE play they scored. The bottom line is Nelson Co. wanted it more.. GREAT FIRST WIN.. KEEP THAT BARRELL!!!!
