May 3, 201610 yr Author That people are so incredible stupid that we accuse others (Fox) for actions which they are not responsible for? The only people that blame Fox for these comments are people that never liked Fox News, and are just looking for a reason to accuse the organization of racism. If anyone with half a brain actually read the article, and not just the title, they would know that Fox is in no way responsible for the comments. Instead, people are to lazy/ dumb to read, so they just take the easy route and blame Fox for being racist. Exactamundo!!!!
May 3, 201610 yr Exactamundo!!!! So you agree that the thread should be more accurately titled, "Why Some Intellectually Inferior People, who would rather falsely accuse others of racism than even attempting to form a coherent thought, hate Fox News" It seems like we have found some common ground on something. :ylsuper: :thumb: :dancingpa
May 3, 201610 yr Agreed. But I don't see what Fox News did here that should be criticized. Some of the comments in the comment section were repulsive & they shut it down. Kudos to Malia, though. I didn't know she went with her father to Cuba & served as a translator. That's very impressive, as is her acceptance to Harvard. Agreed. This has absolutely nothing to do with Fox News.

May 3, 201610 yr The ONLY thing I wonder about is whether or not the comments that follow a news piece are representative of the people that follow that particular source. Fair or unfair?
May 3, 201610 yr The ONLY thing I wonder about is whether or not the comments that follow a news piece are representative of the people that follow that particular source. Fair or unfair? That is a fair assessment. I feel confident in saying that if we pulled up a story from a left leaning website, the same type of vile comments would be scattered about. I've said many times before, social media will be the ruin of civilization.
May 3, 201610 yr "I wonder if she applied as a muDslime." The creativity of bigoted goons is inspiring.

May 4, 201610 yr The comment section on most websites is like the wild west. Vile people with no regards. Sometimes the unfiltered posts can be funny , but if anyone goes to a comment section looking for civilized conversation I'd say they are naive. I could go to the Huffington post or Politico and find vile things said. I'd say being offended by the comment section says more about our society looking to be offended by anything. Were a lot of those posts racist and degrading , no question. But why would any person care what a anonymous commenter has to say ?
May 4, 201610 yr Author The ONLY thing I wonder about is whether or not the comments that follow a news piece are representative of the people that follow that particular source. Fair or unfair? No Pops. The people in comment sections are not representatives of the websites they frequent. Folks are just passing through and stumble upon those articles of said websites and then start dropping comments anonymously. Why would anyone think that what is in the comment section is a representative of the people that follow that particular source? That makes no sense at all. Come on now, Pops.

One of my favorite websites on the Web is Barstoolsports and it's the most vile comment section on the Web. It makes this fox news thing seem pg. But it doesn't represent the 6-8 million unique visitors the site gets. If we play this game then every website on the Web with decent size visitors is terrible.
