The comments could be easily spun as mysogenistic because the whole idea suggest a woman can never escape her husband's transgressions.

I'm a Republican and have voted for the Republican candidate every election since I turned 18 forty-four years ago. I'll vote Republican this time, too. But Trump cannot win the presidency. The reason: he will get obliterated by the minority vote, and he will lose the female vote. He has made too many foot in mouth statements that's going to cost him dearly. One cannot stand on a national debate stage and make a comment about the lone female GOP candidate and say, "Look at that face. Would you vote for a face like that?"

Whew! I cringed when he made that offensive comment. I'm sure women viewers didn't take too kindly to it either.

Then just last week he makes a comment about Hillary saying, "The only card she's playing right now is the female one and even they don't like her."

First off, he evidently hasn't seen most polls that have him losing the female vote by a 70 to 30 percent margin. Secondly, it was a stupid statement that he shouldn't have even said.

Trump can't win because he can't seem to get out of his own way. There's times he needs to count to 10 before making a response to a question or a knee jerk comment.

 

I've said the same for months. Trump can't win. The math is not in his favor in the general election . He simply cannot get enough of the minority vote to win. That alone killed Mittens and Trump will be lucky to top Mitt's minority numbers.

One of the questions is will the GOP get behind Trump, and support him. They've worked so hard at trying to prevent him from winning the nomination thus far, they are going to have to do a complete turnaround. And whether they do or don't, you have to wonder where the party will go from here. If a party outsider can come in and get the nomination while regularly making mistakes in what he says and does, what does that say about the GOP leaders, and how the constituency feels about them and the direction they've taken the party over the last few years? Do they have to become more moderate, especially in social issues? Or do they punt this election, stay the course, and start setting up for 2020 against HRC who may end up being the least popular and least liked president in anyone's memory.
