Good player. Too high. Other needs. Bad pick. He's a back.

Could be a great player, but can they afford this risk? When will he be back? I hope it's soon, but you never know.

Love this pick for the Cowboys. He can push the pocket. They need more help on that line.

I think their draft was terrible, I could have done a lot better for a lot cheaper price.

Seems they are going for guys they just have to take a chance on for a really cheap price.

2nd pick won't even play in 2016, but his brother is the RB coach there.

Last pick hasn't played since middle school

Prescott isn't going to be a good QB, wasted pick.

I think it was a great draft. I think Gathers will turn into a good football player.

SI gives them one of the highest grades of any team. I thought it was spotty, but with a very high ceiling.

This

Awful,awful draft

Elliott will be good, but needed immediate help with the DL or in secondary, as well as a young QB, would have taken about anyone available over Prescott.

Jones seemed to be drafting for Hallmark moments, but they are in awful division where 8-8 should get them in playoffs

When is the last time Miss St has had a pro QB, I can't think of one.

Waste of a pick

Maybe they can develop him into a safety or WR, Dez and Dak

I am huge Dallas fan, and Notre Dame, so I was thrilled from the, to take Smith. Is it a risk? Absolutely. When they took Ware out of Troy people were freaking out, he is pretty good last time I checked. If Smith and "if" is big here, is healthy he will be very good. I would have given us a (B) on our draft. Simply because we missed out on Cook in 4th round. I know people are yelling defensive players, but I truly think if you have the right guy on defense AKA the Broncos this year you can be great . Dallas wants back to being dominant and physical on offense and they will be, in doing that 12-4 the previous year. That kept their defense on the sideline, (11) less snaps per game the year before, top 5 in take-away's. When people are behind they tend to make more mistakes, and that is without arguable their best defender who missed the whole season. If Dallas is healthy they will be 11-5, or 12-4 and will battle for NFC, if they are not healthy then 8-8 would be great. Prescott is better than people realize, he keeps his eyes down field, battled in the SEC west and made Mississippi State relevant. Played well in big games vs Bama and LSU which makes me think he could be steal in 4th round. You just never know with QB's.

I actually really like the Cowboys draft. As much as I dislike the Buckeyes, Elliot is gonna be a star in the league. He'll keep the chains moving and the D off the field.

I don't think Elliott will be a star at all. But maybe he will prove me wrong

As a Cowboys fan I have mixed emotions about this one. The "Zeke" pick is growing on me but still should have went with Ramsey there. But, behind that O-Line Zeke should be a monster, has all the tools and is the most complete back to come out in some time. Will help in pass pro and will make big plays and find the end zone. #1 player on their board and one of the best talents in the draft, hard to get mad about that, but with DMC and Morris in the fold they just didn't need that and at #4 you can't go RB with so many defensive needs. Going to be a good player and should help make Cowboys more 12-4 than 4-12 but just didn't need him there.

The Smith pick is also growing on me but I would have rather seen the risk taken on Myles Jack if they were to go in that direction. Personally I was hoping Noah Spence in that spot but hey who am I? In the end the Cowboys felt better about Jaylon Smiths knee healing and staying solid for the long run than they did Jack's knee breaking down on him in the long run.

Can't complain with the Maliek Collins pick. Showed some real talent from that under tackle spot a couple years ago and had his best years playing beside of Randy Gregory. The talents there, just didn't show it as much last season or two.

The Tapper pick seems alright for the round they found him in, I would have preferred Ronald Blair from App. State (who I think will surprise a lot of people and be a solid edge rusher in this league) but Tapper is big as an interior lineman and runs like a linebacker. The thing about Tapper is he may not have been in the best scheme at Oklahoma and spent a lot of time having to play two gaps instead of just pinning his ears back and reacting. Marinelli should put him in the best position to succeed so I am hopeful he can develop into a good rusher.

Love the Dak pick, love it. For those hating I guess I understand. But he single handedly took Miss. St. to the #1 team in the country and to relevancy much like Newton did at Auburn. Best part is in theory he will have a few seasons to learn and develop and the physical tools are there. I think he may be a solid project QB behind Romo, big play making ability. I don't know how Kentucky fans can say he sucks when he single handedly torched us the last three years, maybe some of your are just still butt hurt over that who knows? Personally I think he has talent, just will need a couple of seasons to simmer and that's what he will have. Has all the physical traits you would want, and is a competitor.

Corner from Purdue has 4.3 speed and some ball skills, could develop into something but frankly Cowboys generally don't have luck with picks that fall after the 3rd or 4th round. May contribute on special teams and find a way to develop into someone in the DB rotation.

Gathers I am excited about. Big body, strong, physical, super athletic for size, I think he translates well to TE. Hasn't played since middle school but doesn't have the wear and tear either. Hoping he is next Tony G or Antonio Gates, no reason to believe he can't be. He has the physical tools and doesn't mind to get physical. I really think they can develop him into a great all around TE.

Still trying to figure out how I feel about this draft as a whole. Landed some talented players but I felt they had needs elsewhere. I actually liked the Jaguars draft in the early rounds and was hoping that would have been the Cowboys'. However, now the dust has settled they ended up with some potential talent, even if it wasn't at the positions that needed it most.

It has now been confirmed that the Cowboys blew it:

@RealSkipBayless By far the single best player drafted by an NFC East team was Ezekiel Elliott.

That's always your go to but I just don't see Elliott being a running back worthy of a top 5 pick in the NFL. But maybe he will prove me wrong.
