When you have a high-profile position the last thing you need to do is be on social media if you can't control yourself when it comes to speaking out on controversial issues.

So much for free speech. However I will add the die part was a little much.

You would have thought he learned from his muslim/nazi comment

He probably does not care. After getting replaced on Sunday his role was greatly diminshed.

Have to blame ESPN as well, they want all their peeps to be out on social media, if they are out there you have to be ready for bad that happens with it.

Any good totalitarian would smile over this firing or the firing of the minister for his sermons. The silencing of the opposition makes it easier to take total control and eliminate all freedoms. The allowing of misguided individuals to go go into the wrong bathroom is just a front for destroying morality and belief in God. It is all part of the communist and/or the Alinsky play book. Destroy morals and God makes it easier to worship government.

In no way are the minister and Schilling cases the same.

He never lost his First amendment right.

He lost his job, as did the minister. The intent is clear, keep your mouth shut or you lose your job or you are harassed in some way. A backdoor method of controlling or eliminating free speech.

You can be a celebrity and a bigot. Just don't expect your employer to like it when you're so public with your bigotry.

Sounds to me like the employer is full of bigots.

I wonder if I would get fired for beating a man up if he went in the restroom with my daughter?
