Just saw on Twitter. NBA is going to start allowing advertising on players jerseys.

 

Not a big deal, but not a huge fan of the idea. Seems way too much like a European concept to me.

It'll be neat to see all the new uniform designs with company logos incorporated.

 

Going to create $120 - $180 million ($4-6 million per team) in new revenue.

I think I saw it will be a 2"x 2" patch somewhere. So pretty small.

I think anyone or any business that makes money, also wants to make more money. Not a fan of Jersey Ads...but I aint going to kill NBA over it either. It doesn't change the game or how much I enjoy it 1%.

I hope they start saying company names during interviews too. Instead of the SONOCO racing fuel, they can say things like, "then I took flight in my Nike Air Jordans"

Just the beginning. 5 million per team is peanuts, the cap is sky rocketing. A 2X2 patch will soon lead to two and then three. I'm a uniform geek and I hate it.
