I believe that someone who would ignore the laws of our country would not be opposed to fraudulently obtaining benefits.

You are, of course, entitled to believe anything you choose. I am simply pointing out that the article does not say that anyone would be given benefits for free. Instead, it says that some (not all) would qualify for earned benefits.

Maybe I misunderstood the article but I thought it described elements of a pathway. Pay taxes, register yourself, and you can recieve some of the benefits when you need them like American citizens.

Should they get them before they become American citizens?

No, they should not receive anything until they return to their country of origin. Come back legally, get in the back of the line and wait their turn. Why is it that Mexico only guards one border strictly, their southern border, they do not allow endless illegal aliens into their country? The only time they make any border arrests is when an American accidentally crosses and they are put in jail.

The reason why is, the ones coming into the USA via the Rio Grande visa card will send a large portion of their cash back to Mexico. This cash helps drive their economy.

 

Lets say Hellcats and a couple million of his friends head to Mexico via the Rio Grande, what do you think the Mexican government will do when they ask for free healthcare and SS benefits?

It would cost billions to hunt down all of the illegal immigrants and ship them back. I don't see that as fiscally responsible when we could create taxpayers that are here anyway.

You just return them to country of origin as they become known, you do not have to hunt down. Remove these individuals from the work force to open up jobs for our citizens. Please, do not use the lame excuse that are doing jobs Americans will not do, they will if you cut off their welfare benefits, at least to those who are fit to work. Then if immigrant labor is needed, go through the process to get legal workers here to help.

There is only one way illegals get a path to citizenship. US Military Service. Period. End of discussion. Build the wall, drop them off and stick Mexico with the tab, or , just deny them foreign aid and let them be owned by the cartels.

I would like to add to what I said in post #22. If someone is working and still needs some help, I would support a pro-rated amount of assistance. That would help anyone moving up the economic ladder to support their family and be an an incentive to keep working and improving their economic situation.

Over 50% of the people who recieve govt aid are working. 40 years wage stagnation has expanded the class of the working poor.

Punish the companies that are hiring them, end the useless drug war, reform or get rid of NAFTA, etc. There is no 100% illegal immigration prevention program, but there are starts.
