This is an example amongst what could be dozens but this type of move couldn't be supported by more than 10-15% of our population . To give illegals SSI and disability while our own veterans and elderly suffer is enraging . I know its worn out statement but " what part of ILLEGAL doesn't he understand " ?

There are three ways of doings things as far as Illegal immigrants that are already here:

 

1. Complain

2. Create a pathway to legal status. I imagine paying taxes and paying into these services would be part of this qualification program.

3. Attempt to ship them back.

There are no illegals, don't you know that?

I think about our crumbling infrastructure , how horrible our roads and bridges are, how we are 19 TRILLION dollars in debt , how higher education is unattainable for so many , how horrific Obamacare has made nearly everyone's insurance . And the guy wants hand out billions to illegal immigrants . How can people still support this guy ?

Hellcats I guess you didn't want to acknowledge choice # 4 that Obama has picked - make a unilateral decision to call them legal and give them billions in benefits that our own citizens desperately need ? Do you support that ? What about you papa ?

I'm not against a pathway to citizenship but that pathway shouldn't just be a rubber stamp . But that's a whole different topic . This is about Obama giving benefits to illegal immigrants .

I mean I can see where someone that has paid (in my case it will be 50 years) into social security and now they are gonna just up and give it to illegals they haven't ponied up a dime would be highly po'd. And I don't even know if I will receive any of it back when its time to draw.

As if Social Security has any funds available to give away anyway. It just forces it bankrupt earlier.

I'm a 'path to citizenship' kind of guy but I feel like you shouldn't get benefits you didn't 'earn' unless you are disabled. Go to work, pay taxes, save what you can and don't expect a handout.

The article says that this would make those who qualify in this way ELIGIBLE for these benefits. Perhaps I am reading it wrong, but this would allow them to earn such benefits in the way that you and I do, not GIVE the benefits away.

The people that make those comments online would never say it to the face of anyone they are talking about. That's how those people operate.

I believe that someone who would ignore the laws of our country would not be opposed to fraudulently obtaining benefits.
