Do You Agree With Trump's View on Abortion?

Featured Replies

If abortion was declared illegal , then would you agree with what Trump initially said(before he said he misspoke) about women who choose to have an abortion should face some sort of punishment, possibly jail time? I have asked a similar question on here more than once over the years and have never gotten a satisfactory answer from you.

For you folks who believe abortion is intentional murder and should be treated as such, then is what Trump said that extreme? If abortion was declared illegal then shouldn't someone who chooses to commit an illegal act be punished? Especially, if the crime is an act so heinous as murder. If so, what should be the punishment? If you believe the crime is murder, then is 15 yrs , 20 to life the proper punishment? Something much less? No punishment at all? As you probably know, I am a strong pro-choice person, so I certainly don't agree with what Trump is trying to convince his supporters that he believes. But are people on both sides overreacting to what he said? I mean, if abortion was illegal, is it far-fetched to think there should be some sort of punishment for breaking the law?

In short, if you believe abortion is a heinous act and if it was illegal then it would be a heinous crime. Shoplift a bag of candy and you'll have to at least go to court. If abortion was a criminal act, should you at least be due some punishment?

I think the law should(and will) stay the way it is. Just asking hypothetically... Whacha say?

Abortion is murder period. Do you believe there should be punishment for murder? Of coarse.

What I have stated in several threads is that the abortionist should face stiff penalties, if a doctor, should lose medical license.

The woman is a victim too. She should not be punished.

This is the way it was before Roe v Wade. They had it right then.

How is the woman the victim?

Who would be punished?

Would the punishment be the same for murder as it is today?

Would you grant exceptions for rape, incest?

Both Doctor and Patient. Rape is excluded, as well as high risk delivery.

If you believe abortion is murder why would you allow a child produced by rape to be murdered?

If abortion were illegal of course the mother should be punished. Don't see how that is even a legit question.

I agree 100% with Trump. Anything thats illegal has to have a punishment or its not illegal or what would the purpose be?

I also agree that abortion is murder. I would say by definition that the doctor or the person that does the abortion would be guilty of murder. The women if she were consenting would be complicit by today's laws concerning murder correct?

Everybody agrees with Trump's view on abortion because he has taken every position possible.

Well done, sir.

Neither you nor mayfieldfan answered the question.

My repeated answer to this specific question still stands.

No.

Let me know when he decides what his final view on the subject is and I'll get back to you. Seems to be some confusion on his stance....
