Do You Agree With Trump's View on Abortion?

Featured Replies

I've got no clue what you're even talking about. My comment was that if women were charged with murder if abortion were ever made illegal it would bankrupt our country. Why you quoted me previously is a mystery to me.

No, I don't think it would. If it carried a murder charge, the number of abortions would increase dramatically. What doctor would knowingly lose their license and be an accomplice to murder?

Exactly. Who is going to do abortions if it carries a murder charge.

They'll still have them, just without supervision or assistance from medical professionals.

So Black Market abortions. Would you support this if abortions were illegal?

That can't be a serious question.

I'll play along though. I don't support abortions now, so I clearly wouldn't support them then.

This entire thread.

Abortion should continue to be legal. Women should have a right to choose what they get to do with their body and also have a right to safe and sanitary procedures done by licensed professionals. Unless you are the father, you have no right to dictate what happens to that fetus.

Nobody wants to go back to coat hangers and dirty backrooms and instruments.

Ok just making sure of your position. So you are against abortion but do not think a woman who has an abortion should be punished if abortion was made illegal?

Pretty much.

I am against abortions. I'm also, and more strongly, against the government dictating what a person can or can't do to their own body.

It would be impossible to prosecute and cost our country hundreds of billions of dollars a year. Not worth it.

And I don't think it should be illegal. I'm against any law that tells a person what they can or cannot do to their own person.

Against abortion morally.

Do NOT think it should be illegal b/c I am not comfortable putting a mother in jail. I do NOT equate it to murder.

Do you feel it is murder when a drunk driver causes the death of an unborn child? I'm against abortion in any instance but I would like for the law to be consistent. It's either a person or it's not. Circumstances shouldn't matter.

I do not equate that with murder/manslaughter.

It can be illegal and the mother not be prosecuted. That's what we had pre 1973.

Nobody is proposing that the mother be prosecuted in the event abortion is made illegal. Don't say "Trump is" because that is giving him way too much credit.

The federal law would return to something very much like it was before Roe but the state laws would still favor abortion. Of course, no one wants to hear this because it eliminates many of the objections being stated here and reduces the arguments to fear-mongering and Red Herrings.

Well it is the law in KY.
