March 31, 201610 yr Okay, can somebody clarify for me why the official at the other end of the court is the one who blew the initial whistle for an inbound's violation? I looked at it a couple of times, and there's a guy on the baseline (on the other side of the basket from the inbounder), plus there's a guy up the near sideline that's within 20-25 feet from the inbounder...but, this other guy isn't even in the initial shot!
