Red Devils and Fort Thomas Blue team both looked really good for the very first game of the season. Kudos to both coaching staffs and the boys for all the great work leading up to this exciting start !!

 

I would agree with you. Both teams looked good and both teams have a really good running back. I am really glad that we started with the Red Devils right out of the shout. Since there are so many parents that have taken there kids from Ft Thomas to play there because we are not competitive enough and now hopefully some of those parents will start to reconsider playing once again in the league where they live and will be going to school.

I hear there is some serious talent on the two FTJFL teams playing in the NKYFL. Joe Buten and Cam Hergott are who I keep hearing that are really good.

Not certain where Diego's family is from. He's a physical beast with quick feet & speed. Played for Coach Mic last season & sure to lead league w/his patented backfield bear hugs.

Diego moved in from Arizona last year at the beginning of the School year. Up to that point he had only played Flag Football. No Contact! It's been a challenge for him to get going but he is starting to figure out the Angles & effort needed to beat his Man(s). Probably the fastest kid on the team. I know it's been hard for him moving here. His mom was relocated to Cincy while his Father and 2 older brothers stayed behind in the Phoenix area. Diego is a good kid with a very Bright mind.....Ft Thomas is blessed to have him in their community!

South Kenton Senior team beat the other Fort Thomas team.

Numbers seemed down at the first day of practice for South Kenton. Anyone have the official #'s? Still some families on vacation and some others will be late so it may be too early.

I hear the CCRD midgets are pretty darn good with a couple future Bluebirds in the backfield in Wiggins (QB) and Surrey (TB).

The Red Devils Midget team lost to Ludlow Sunday. They play South Kenton midgets this weekend who have a group of kids that haven't lost a game in a long time.

Didnt see the game, but from what I have hear is was a good one. Union's 8th grade team is down from what they have had in years past (but thats been known for a few years) kids play hard though.
