18-20 is an ideal number as you have many kids going both ways anyway.

The more the merrier...especially in this concussion era with numbers down...so water down all ya like yes sir....it's 8th grade..enjoy the experience..and hell yes, compete and work those young athletes and coaches yes read, research and put frameworks in front of the athletes to win - but no PT and winning at (virtually) any cost - that high school fun can all come later sports fans.

You have to make sure you play everybody.

That is what assistant coaches are for :)

No i don't believe Fort teams have played Bengals

The FT white and blue team are only 8th graders. CCRD has a lot of kids from ft Thomas on the team but it's made up of 7th and 8th graders.

Ahhhh there it is. I was wondering how long it would take for someone to call the 7th grader card. So go ahead and give me 7 or 8-7th graders to fill my team out to 25 kids. What changes? The best 11 play....Right? My team has 10-8th graders & 1-7th grader on the field at once. So 4 years from now when little Johnny and his Junior classmates are playing a Heavy loaded Senior team, what's the Excuse then? "Just play Football"

Has Fort Thomas played the Bengal Tigers Senior teams yet?

The FT Blue Team & the Bengal Tigers will resume their game that was cancelled due to Lightning this past Sunday night. The game is rescheduled to be played on the 13th of Sept with Ft Thomas leading 8-6 in the 2nd quarter. Not sure when Ft White play them.

Comparing 7th and 8th graders to Juniors and Seniors is a huge difference. Not much of a drop off for Seniors and Juniors compared to 8th and 7th graders.

Great point but people shouldn't sit back and make excuses about it!

Okay then make a all 8th grade team and a all 7th grade team. Not enough numbers to do it? Don't know what to tell you there.....But don't discredit Fort Thomas for gambling like they are doing. You honestly don't think Fort Thomas couldn't take the top 7th graders & 8th graders and put together an "A" team and be pretty successful in the Senior Div. Like this year....If Fort Thomas wanted to select the top 18 of the 35-8th graders this year and form a "A" & "B" team, it wouldn't be very fair would it? Both 8th grade teams are precisely divided so both teams can compete in the League. One team is not heavy loaded like some people are assuming! But I get what you are saying about comparing 7 & 8th graders.

Makes sense as the QB' s Dad was a former QB at NCC in the 90' s and later pitched in the Majors with Toronto/NY.

Not to mention rocking a sweet red mullet to go with a turtle neck/sweater combo back in the day.

Mullet?

Mullet?

I may be confusing you with the other tall red head from your class. My bad.

I believe #88 had a beautiful flowing mullet.
