March 24, 201610 yr Just checked stage and forecast It hits a low of 2.15 MPH today (28.6'). Shoots back up and peaks at 2.45 late Saturday (29.2'). Not sure when they will be able to pull the car out. Pop up on my phone just said they may try to pull the car up Saturday. With rain in the forecast it seems like today is the day to give it a shot. Otherwise it might be next week before conditions are favorable.

Why should the saftey of the recovery crew be put into jeopardy for a car in the river?

What about the person or persons who are still in the car? What if that was one of your loved ones? Instead of using the volunteers who obviously can't get the job done, they should call in the professionals.

Will they not be deceased a week from now? You can call in professional divers, they still won't go down to the car until the current level slows.

It's just not safe right now and ultimately the time line doesn't change the outcome.

I would imagine the fish get hungry and will locate anything at the bottom.That is unless the victim was dislodged and has ridden with the current. If that is the case, I would expect something to be discovered down near Ludlow.
