March 22, 201610 yr I guess they didn't try to pull the car out today? Maybe Thursday or Friday until the river slows down enough (projected to be 1.5 MPH) they would prefer it to be 1.0 MPH . Guy on TV said the river flowing at 1.7 MPH would be similar to doing a helicopter rescue in 30 MPH winds. They also had a home surveillance video of the car falling into the water. Wow!

No they just need to have police monitoring it as the entry to the bridge from NKY is a straight downhill run and cars really pick up speed heading that direction. Both sides of the river should have police sitting there for the next few weeks deterring speeding.

It also does stop a load of lumber from being dumped over the road.

Lay these tragedies at the feet of drivers who are speeding, talking on cell phones, texting, DUI, using illegal drugs(most popular-marijuana), people who don't take seriously the warning label on prescription narcotics, people who think they are too important to stop at red lights, tired from driving too many hours, and impatient drivers who just have to be first. Just because you watch racing events all weekend, doesn't give you the ability to drive like NASCAR drivers who have been doing it for years and with safety measures. You are behind the wheel as a means of transportation, and some of these drivers think they should be using every electronic device available in the new cars. Sorry, a big shoutout in case you're clueless, you're behind the wheel to drive. Nothing else.

Funny, I've always watched myself on that bridge due to the amount of cops I've seen in that area.
