The ignorance displayed by these protestors is outstanding. Is this really where we are where people feel they have the right to stop others of their right to assemble and speak freely.

I'm not a Trump fan but tonight was a disgusting display by the protestors.

 

Serious question because I'm reading it on twitter. In what world does your right to protest allow you to try and silence others rights. In what world do you have a right to storm a hall for an organized event , storm the stage and incite violence.

 

Simple answer you don't , those are criminal acts. You may not agree with Trump but you have to respect his right to assemble and speak if you want others to respect your right to protest.

 

Millions upon millions of Americans despise everything Bernie and Hillary have to say but there aren't people organizing to silence them or ruin their speaking events.

 

There is only one side of the aisle who has a segment of their voting block who believes their right to speak supercedes any dissenting viewpoint. That side is the left.

 

 

This won't end well. You only can push people so much before they push back.

Watching these things in Chicago, I can't help but get the feeling that they are professional, paid protestors. My initial thought was that it might well have been staged by Trump, because these images almost certainly will invoke some backlash that may deliver him a bunch of states tomorrow. BUT, then I heard them yelling "Bernie!" which leads me to believe that they might have some Clinton Foundation cash in their wallets. Either way, these things were professional and staged, and paid.

 

There are so many bad assumptions and mis-steps in that facebook post I don't even know where to start.

As to the protests, I find this to be both a troubling and fascinating development. So many angles to consider. At first blush, it strikes me as an example of the power of today's social media. It makes me wonder if this could turn into a "movement" like the one percenter protests we saw a couple years ago, and whether many of the same people involved in that action are part of this. I will be shocked to hear Trump, Bernie, Clinton or anyone else is involved in this. I think it is just what I said - a vocal minority using social media to tap into the same anger in the electorate that has fueled the Trump and Sanders campaigns. How ironic if true. This is going to be very interesting to watch.

Between a rallygoer being arrested for assault and his campaign manager being investigated for assaulting a reporter at a rally he needs to play the victim to change the narrative.

 

There's a video out of the assault on the reporter. When you get a chance give it a watch and tell me what you see.

 

The guy who thru the punch has been arrested and charged.

CPD told the press that the police never met with Trump folks.

 

Trump said this. Im guessing it was a combination of secret service and his personal detail.

All the candidates on both sides should be going on the record immediately demanding/pleading with everyone not to do this again, correct?

Have you missed his remarks about him wanting to punch protesters in the face? Or when he told his supporters to hit back? He has definitely enabled his supporters. But shame on those protesters for giving them the bait as well. Absolute cluster of an election cycle
