What was the point these hooligans were supposed to be making? All I saw were a bunch of pampered, entitled, immature people, who had nothing better to do on a Friday night than take money from 1. Move on.org, 2. Or maybe the Establishment Republicans or 3. Bill Ayres who just happened to be there? Pick one! Coincidentally, it was in Chicago and it took how long for the police to show up, it was in their city for goodness sakes? And it just happened to be a city whose mayor is Rahm Emanuel, who is also big buds with our POTUS. This whole situation was a blatant obstruction of freedom of speech and it was planned long before Friday. And yes, I am glad it was cancelled because about 200 of these wonderful examples of young people were to jump the barricade and rush the stage if Trump did try to speak. Like I've said before, I haven't decided whom I'll vote for, such a mess we don't even know who the two candidates of the Democrat and Republican parties will be. But I'll tell you one thing, it will not be for McConnell for senator, whom I have voted for since 1968 because he helped my Dad, who was a tobacco farmer, but any more ugly happenings like last night and I sure as heck could vote for Donald Trump. This is the worst election I've witnessed in my 65 years.

I believe the toxic environment started in 2008. Our country has not been so divided in many years as it has during these past few years. I am not a Trump fan...in fact there isn't a candidate I can support. However Trump is just vocalizing what many feel. I suppose it is not so different than the voice other groups feel they have today. I will still wait for that candidate that puts ALL people first and especially those who value being here and are willing to work towards compromise. However demonstrations such as this are intolerable. If our current President doesn't think this is worth condemning, then he is supporting it.

And today Secret Service rushed the stage and surrounded Trump because a man had jumped the barricade and was trying to get on stage. This just happened and the man was arrested. People this is crazy, this is not democracy at work. We have had a Democratic President for almost 8 years, wasn't my choice but I'm not real proud of the guy I voted for either, but I don't want anyone to be killed. And that is what is going to happen. And then things will get really bad.

It's too easy to believe the worst if you don't care for the person to begin with. See how damaging gossip is? Last night's debacle could become that so easily. Kind of naive to believe that these issues don't exist, and we need to go back the good ol' days. Good ol' days weren't great for a portion of the population. In some instances the good ol' days were oppressive, so you (conservatives) may not like it but times are-a-changing: Women have turned into the primary breadwinners and within this century white America will no longer be a majority and that's just to name a few.

 

The fact that Trump is your (conservatives) BACKLASH says it all because from what he has given us he is the definition of any -ist you want to label him. I can't see people aren't going to just accept his message of returning to the good ol' days.
