The Wildcats are making their 3rd appearance in the Sweet 16 and are 11-2 since the start of February.

I think Murray will win but great story for both schools.

I thought when the draw came out, the 14th got a nice 1st round to get a win. However, now knowing the teams, I think the 14th come up short again.

One never knows. I wouldn't have thought the 14th region's Cordia would have won the All A State but they did, and defeated a couple of the teams that's going to be at Rupp on their way to the title....NCC and Murray.

However, Cordia had size. Buckhorn plays their hearts out but they're not very big. Basically everyone is guard size.

I saw Murray at the All A. As much as I'd like to see daHorn win, I'm afraid Murray may be just a little too much for them.

Got to love this Buckhorn story. 170(?) kids in entire high school. Wow! Augusta almost made it with 80. Go Buckhorn, live our dream for all us little schools.

I've seen both of them wrestle. They came to our high school about 12 years ago and wrestled. Set up the ring in the gym and those two and several more wrestlers went at it. It was a fund raiser for us and a good size crowd was there.

One moment that gave me a good laugh was during a tag team match. One of the wrestlers that wasn't in the ring got the referee distracted by shouting at him and that gave his partner in the ring enough time to pull something from his costume that looked metallic and strike his opponent. Then they tangled up and when they separated the guy had blood (fake of course) streaming down in face. An old man sitting on the front row of the bleachers ran within a few feet of the ring and shouted at the top of his lungs at the ref, "HE'S A-KILLIN' HIM WHILE YOU AIN'T A-LOOKIN'".

That cracked me up. It's amazing how many people take that stuff seriously. :lol2:

I didn't pick them in the contest...don't think anyone did....:lol2:. I love mountain schools and smalls schools as I attended one. 180 students grades 1-12. I too am going with the big upset and going with the Horn.

A couple of factors come to mind in this type of matchup. Offense may be at a premium and I suspect Murray will defend Buckhorn very well. Bigger court will play a huge factor imo. Murray coming off 3 straight games on college court and BHS, to my knowledge has played 0 games on a 94ft court. Grit and heart is is one thing that can't be matched, however. I'm saying Murray 51-34

Two of the few teams I haven't seen play this year. I don't think they will, but I have to root for the small school to win. I have no idea if it will happen just love seeing the stories being written this time of year.

Two of my buddy's coaching in this one, I was hoping for a tie, both are great guys that deserve this for their school and families!!! I am not picking one of them rooting for them both
