Brad Calipari to play at Kentucky

Calipari only cares about his self. He doesn't care about the University of Kentucky. Taking up a roster spot that could be a nice post player that can rebound and play defense. Not a fan of daddy ball.

Not taking a spot from anyone...As a walk on he doesn't count against scholarship limit. No more than Sam Malone or any other walk on has in the past.

You really don't understand all of this it seems. A lot of the top teams have walk ons, many are kids with connections to the coach that want the experience because they want to go into coaching themselves after they graduate. Where better to learn about coaching than to be involved with a program day in and day out for 4 years. If you can do it with a top coach why not. It in no way harms the team, so I'm not sure why anyone would be against any kid getting the chance to walk on.

Anyone else vote that we redshirt Brad Calipari? He probably needs another year to gain strength and work on his game.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not..

He could get a decent player to walk on instead of his son. I am sure Weyer, Wilson or somoone like that would walk on at UK if they had the chance.

Walk ons don't get scholarships.

Which is exactly what I said. "So you want to legislate who schools don't give athletic scholarships to?"

Who cares. He's the coach and can do what he wants to. It's his prerogative if he wants to put his own son on his team.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not..

I promise you...not serious lol.

Lexington Herald said walk on not preferred walk on 2 differwnt things.

Does it matter?

And then what? We have to listen to people like you complain all the time that Weyer and Wilson should be getting more playing time. No thank you.

@uk#1fan, I guess you had a big issue with Sam Malone being a walk-on for four years and taking up a roster spot. I mean, he only received that walk-on spot because of his dad's friendship with Coach Cal.

I promise you...not serious lol.

:lol2: I believe you.

I thought you had a lapse there for a second.

Nothing stopping them...but they wouldn't play in any likelihood either. Plus they'd have to pay their own way.

I don't think this will keep Cal at UK if the right job he wants comes open. It certainly doesn't hurt but not sure if it makes it a sure thing he stays at UK.

Agreed. Brad is likely going to be a coach one day. He can follow his dad anywhere.

Is this a serious question or sarcasm? I want to answer but I'm not sure how to without context.

Okay. I was hoping it wasn't. :lol2:

I just asked him the same question. :lol2:

He was joking.
