All of the other 'busts' are sighing in relief that they won't be on top of this list going forward.

Anyone that watched the guy knew he was overmatched. At some point, desire has to be present and he just doesn't have any.

Sam Bowie still holds that title!

Not the #1 pick. Hakeem was.

disagree completely. Bowie gets a really bad rep because of Jordan. Are you saying the same things about all the guys drafted ahead of Curry? Same rule should apply.

Bowie was great, just hampered with injuries.

BTW, where is Hasheem Thabeet at now a days? #2 pick that draft class, right after Blake Griffin.

Is he the worst #1 draft pick of all time?

By far. The only ones in recent consideration are Greg Oden, Kwame Brown, and Michael Olowokandi. Oden was injury riddled. Kwame and Olowokandi were not good, but they at least floated around some rosters as serviceable guys. Bennett went from the draft, to the D-League, to sparingly playing any of his 2 1/2 seasons in the NBA.

In fairness to Bennett, that was one of the worst NBA drafts in history he was part of. It was by default he was the #1 pick. The only player we had confidence that would be good was Oladipo, and I can understand the reservations of drafting him #1.

Can you be the biggest draft bust of all time when you're only 22/23 years old? He'll be 23 in 2 weeks.

Not saying I disagree, just weird to think about.

That's a good point. In the 'old' days you got 4 years of college to learn the game and how you could best make use of your skills and develop new ones. Today you better have that early or get to a team that will take the time to develop you because there will be another 'you' next draft. Most teams don't have that type of patience even though they have to know what they are getting when they select someone.

He's Secretariat in the #1 bust field. 20/11 lifetime highs.

I say yes, he might be out of the league next year.

I don't think Simmons or Ingram will be a bust like this, but this year might be in contention for worst draft. Looking back on the 2013 draft now, it's really really bad.

Kwame Brown made $63 Million in the NBA. Unfreaking real.

Just looked who was drafted in 2013...yuck.

The 2nd round of 2012 was better than all of 2013.
