28th consecutive title for X.

Truly amazing!

"Tradition Unequaled" is much more than just a slogan at Saint Xavier.

Tradition never drowns.

Should X decide on this as a marketing slogan, please forward appropriate compendation to:

CCH got to within 44 points. Strong showing.

Northern Kentucky typically has strong showing with divers. This year is no exception.

Allyson Heger, Holy Cross, was named top coach of the Kentucky High School Meet for the boys. Katie Uthe Mcgonigal, Notre Dame, won the award for the women. Region 7 boys had 4 of the top 6 places and 5 of the top 16...pretty damn impressive. Evan Brungs, Covington Catholic was 2nd. Gus Staubitz, Holy Cross was 5th. Owen Finke, Holy Cross was 6th. Holy Cross has never medaled in swim/dive before. Finn Murphy, Highlands was 7th and he's only an 8th grader.

On the girls side we had 5 out of the top 10 divers in the state and 6 out of 16 in the state. Lindsey Fox, Scott was 1st and no one was close. Francie Case from NDA was 6th. Sophie Middendorf from NDA was 7th. Marian Tiemeyer, Campbell County was 8th. This speaks volumes about the diving program up here in Northern Kentucky. Congrats to all the coaches and divers.

The St.X tiger sharks can tie the National high school consecutive state title record with a title next year then set the new record the year after!

CovCath, as has happened in past, WINS more events including (2) 4-man relays over St.X, yet the Tigers depth prevails. Oh well.

Its even better than you described; as Abby Weyer from Highlands was a final 16 qualifier (9th after prelims) and had to scratch from Saturdays finals due to another school event out of town.

N Ky girls were 7 of top 16 and could have been 6 of top 10. Awesome.

I heard Notre Dame's 400 Free Relay didn't get to swim because of a coaching error on the relay card. Good thing Sacred Heart was dominant and it didn't come into play.

I certainly don't keep up with Swimming.

Anyone?

More like an echo. :sssh:

The usual response would be "don't count your chickens" but in X's case, they can.
