I heard Notre Dame's 400 Free Relay didn't get to swim because of a coaching error on the relay card. Good thing Sacred Heart was dominant and it didn't come into play.

Individually you can swim 4 events, but no more than 2 events can be relays. The 400 free relay is the last relay of a HS meet. For each relay, before the meet starts, you can list 8 swimmers on a card and then prior to the event you have to designate which 4 will swim and in what order. The NDA coaching staff made an error in who they designated as they listed a kid who had already swam 2 relays and 2 individual events. Therefore, the relay was disqualified. Tough break for the NDA girls. Not sure if they could have beat Sacred Heart, but they would have firmly finished second. The only thing that made it not quite as bad was that each of the girls who would have been on that relay had a very successful meet individually and on other relays. Just an honest unfortunate mistake.

Heard there was also some controversy in the boys diving championship. Anyone want to chime in and give the details? :jump:

St. X kid's foot hit the board. When that happens you should be get penalized and score no higher than 2s. Kid came over to judges to address them and said he didn't hit the board. He is not penalized. Kid tells other divers that he definitely hit the board. He wins. Cov Cath diver should have been the winner.
