South of Albuquerque.........here we come.

Sadly yes. I cannot stand when someone gets on this site and posts false information about a high school kid.

Back to the game.....

I am curious what defense the Birds were in when Weyer drained multiple 1st half 3 pointers? Man-man, 1-3-1, 2-3 zone.....Just curious.

Also congrats to the Highlands Sr's for playing hard all season and never throwing in the towel. I know its been a tough year for the program but they represented well and should be proud. All of them are superior athletes and have had outstanding careers at Highlands in various sports.

They tried to play man to man and force NCC to have to put the ball on the floor to get shots off and they simply were shooting the ball extremely well early.

Then why did you ask the previous poster if he was 100% sure of that. I am well aware of who you talked to and he is not even connected to the program now is he? But it allowed you to try and cover your tracks and you were told by that person that this was in fact false and yet you continue to post about it.

Didn't I say I'm done? I said it didn't happen. But you know, it's funny. People are quick to shoot down the Newport guys. But at Highlands, nothing happens. I'm done on this post.

The Birds didn't have a great season, but kudo's to them for hanging in there and playing hard each and every game. Feel bad for the seniors going out with a losing record. Hopefully this season will drive the underclassman to work hard in the offseason.

On a side note, I'm kind of glad the season is over. The team and the fans have been beat on all year. It gets old coming in to the threads and reading all the potshots people take at the program.

Very well stated I might say so myself.

Well, I have played the game. White shorts should never confuse the white team with the ball.

What about defense? Peripherals are used there too... Maybe You have played the game, but Maybe not correctly... Either way, both yeahs should not be allowed to wear the same color.

Fact: 3 kids have been dismissed from the Newport team

Falsehood: nobody was dismissed from the Highlands team

Those my friend are completely different statements and both are 100% accurate.

Not at all. If you have ever played the game, you know peripheral vision is a big deal. But seeing white out of your peripherals in all directions would throw me off

If I am an official, I am not OK with this either. Ball is loose on the floor, multiple players go after it and I see that it clearly goes out of bounds off of a certain players leg wearing white shorts. Problem is, I did not have a clear view of their upper bodies to tell if it was off blue or white.

I know I'm late to this party, but WOW, those uniforms are AWFULLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't hold back.... how do you really feel?

IMO officials see the actual leg it goes off of and not the color of the shorts.

I said this on the game thread last night and thought I would post my comment here since I didn't get a chance to post again because I was catching up with guys and forgot. I made the comment that I couldn't believe NCCs best player was still in being they were up 30. When I made that comment I just walked in to see the next game and noticed the game before still going. I just couldn't believe with them being up by that score he was still in stroking 3 pointers. Makes no sense why teams like this keep their studs in other than to pad his stats. I worry for kids like this because the game seemed to get a little physical at that time and he takes chances of getting hurt. Absolutely would have hated to see that.

My next comment was that he didn't play defense. Yes blocks are defense but if you notice he lives in on the inside and doesn't tend to guard anyone outside 10/12 feet. If I was 6'7 with probably close to a 6'10 wingspan I would hope I was getting blocks left and right from guys much smaller than me. When he gets to the next level I doubt he will be living inside the entire time to be able to get those blocks.

Don't get me wrong, he is a very good player and probably the top or one of the top players in 9th Region this year. I'm just throwing out my opinions on what I've seen of him play this season.

If this is the case, how do you know he didn't play defense? Plus all games are different and what players are needed to do at certain times and games also varies. I think saying that he didn't play defense is an unfair statement. But you are entitled to your opinion.

**I stand corrected you stated at the end from what you've seen him play this season. I understood it to be what you saw last night**

Yea I was following the game thread on here and just kept seeing NCC triple, NCC NBN from 23, it was sureal.

NCC can shoot the ball unbelievable some times. They have to have games they shoot over 50% from 3 point range.

Do you think these last 2 games received their maximum effort?

IMO officials see the actual leg it goes off of and not the color of the shorts.

I would agree with this. My point is, how do they determine whose leg it is when there are a few of them in close proximity?
