This isn't a scandal. This is two consenting adults letting their moral compasses drop. As terrible as it is for the family members involved, it really isn't newsworthy besides the fact that it is a big name college coach. This is tabloid scandal, not "you guys are going on probation" type stuff.

Considering what Ramsey/Jurich have dealt with concerning Petrino and Pitino, and the blind eye they have cast toward their indiscretions, this issue doesn't even cause them notice. None.

I thought the football program stooped too a new low with Hurtt but he ended up being less controversial than Strong. Throw in Petrino and you've got some shady dudes involved in that football program.

Any allegation of “immoral” conduct could also eventually impact Strong’s employment at Texas. SI.com has obtained and reviewed Strong’s contract with Texas, which was signed in January 2014 and calls to pay the 55-year-old coach a base of approximately $26 million over five years. Like most employment contracts of significant value, Strong’s deal contains language that enables Texas to exit or suspend payment if it concludes that he acted in disfavored ways. For instance, one contractual clause expresses that if Strong engages in “any fraud or dishonesty” while performing his job duties, the school could suspend him with or without pay, or even fire him “for cause”—which means Texas would be relieved of the obligation to pay Strong on the remainder of his deal. Texas could impose the same outcome if it finds that Strong engaged in conduct “unbecoming to a head coach” or acted in a way that “reasonably brings into question the integrity” of Strong. To be sure, if Texas tried such a move, Strong’s attorneys would likely take the school to court and argue the school has misapplied these provisions. Still, the language in Strong’s contract is a reminder that even an out-of-state divorce case involving two other people might present problems for him.

^Other than the obvious issues with his own marriage, this could be exactly what those that want him out at Texas need to get that ball rolling. Not good for ole Chuck.

It's awful easy for UK fans to spout moral superiority when their program has nothing else going for it. Anyone care to wager on the chances that they would overlook something like this in their own program if they could every build a winner?

It is a bad deal for the innocent people involved. Strong's wife and kids and the children of Mr. & Mrs. Blue.

 

As for this being public I can assure you Mr. Blue isn't someone Charlie wants to mess with. It obvious that Mr. Blue wants to take down Charlie for wrecking his family. I guess that is the price Charlie will pay for his role in this. This could blow up for Charlie.
