February 16, 201610 yr Mariah Carey Celine Dion Rhianna Kurt Cobain Kanye West Luke Bryan To name a few that I can't stand that a LOT of people seem to love based on their sales. Gosh, I nearly forgot that one. Luke Bryan makes my skin crawl. He gets the scan button faster than anyone in the history of XM radio in my truck. NEXT
February 16, 201610 yr Cannot question their greatness, but I hate the Beatles. People had Zeppelin and the Stones and actually chose to listen to that boy band crap. Well, to be honest, Zeppelin only formed in 1968. The Beatles broke up in 1970 so it's not like they were really contemporaries.

I recognize his importance in musical history, but his music didn't do a lot for me.

I think you meant to say "Music nearly died during the 80s and thank goodness alternative music and the rise of hip hop saved us from yacht rock and hair metal."
February 17, 201610 yr Just in case ANY of you ARE EVEN THINKING about adding Beyonce to this list... Don't say that you haven't been warned...
